Let Us Pray for You

Our Prayer Ministry is dedicated to lifting up the needs of our church family and community through faithful, Christ-centered prayer. Whether you're celebrating a blessing or facing a difficult season, our prayer team is here to pray with you, encourage you, and support you. Submit a prayer request at any time, knowing that your needs will be covered in prayer.

It hurts to lose someone.

Find help at GriefShare

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

First Baptist St. Charles offers 13 week GriefShare Classes on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00pm. There is a session in the winter/spring and then offered again the fall. This class is for those who have lost someone due to death.

There is a $20 workbook, to be paid at the first session. Visit the GriefShare website at griefshare.org to learn more about this ministry. Contact the church office at (636) 928-1311 for additional information. Class is for ages 18 & up.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry provides high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to members of the church and community experiencing life difficulties. Stephen Ministers are church members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer care to people who are hurting. A Stephen Minister typically has one care receiver at a time and meets with that person once a week for about an hour. Care receivers first meet with a Stephen Leader, who assesses their needs for care and matches them with a Stephen Minister. The caring relationship lasts for as long as the need persists.

Contact our Stephen Ministry Leaders, Nancy Young at (636) 875-3457 to make an confidential appointment to meet with a Stephen Minister.

Widows' Ministry

The Widows' Ministry is a Christ‑centered outreach devoted to caring for women who have lost their husbands, reflecting God’s heart for compassion, comfort, and community. Grounded in the truth of Scripture and the hope we have in Jesus, our ministry walks alongside widows as they navigate grief, healing, and new beginnings.

We provide a safe, loving space where widows can find prayer support, biblical encouragement, fellowship, and practical help. Through gatherings, discipleship, and acts of service, we seek to remind each woman that she is seen, valued, and deeply loved by God. Our mission is to embody the love of Christ by offering comfort in sorrow, strength for each day, and hope for the future.
