The Music Ministry of First Baptist puts people on a path toward worshiping God. From Children’s Choirs to FUEL to Sanctuary Choir to Orchestra to Praise Band, we try to help people grow in their love for God. This is accomplished through several avenues.

Blended Worship (9:30 AM and 6:00 PM Sundays) combines the elements of tried and true songs and hymns of the faith and newer praise and worship songs. The Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra lead out in the 9:30 AM service.

Contemporary Worship (11:00 AM Sundays) takes advantage of some of the latest Christian music. The music in this service is guitar and drums driven with a strong emphasis on personal expression.

Children's Choirs

We offer a graded children's choir ministry that not only teaches children the joy of singing and worship, but also teaches music theory and memorization of hymns and choruses. The choirs are:

• Music Time (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
• Music Makers (Grades 1-2)
• Children’s Praise Team (Grades 3-5)

Children's Choirs meet Wednesdays at 6:30pm during the regular school year.

Children's Choir Camp is for those children who are entering grades 1-7. Camp meets for one week Monday through Friday for a time of rehearsal, recreation, and field trip activities as we prepare a special musical to be presented at our Evening Worship service the end the week. Choir Camp is generally the first full week after the 4th of July.

F.U.E.L.

F.U.E.L. (Fired Up and Extremely Loud) is a high energy Student Performing Arts Ministry. FUEL performs Choir and Praise Band music and Drama. FUEL performs at area churches and takes a weeklong mission trip each summer. This middle and high school group meets on Sunday afternoon.

Sanctuary Choir

Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and leads worship at the 9:30 AM Worship Service. We also prepare a Christmas Musical / Drama each year that is generally presented early in December.

Sanctuary Orchestra

Sanctuary Orchestra rehearses on Wednesday evenings and is a full instrumental ensemble made up of orchestral instrumentation. We provide instrumental support and leadership during the 9:30 AM Worship Service and we participate in various special events throughout the year.
