Dr. David Sheppard has served as senior pastor of First Baptist Church since 1987. His wife, Linda, is a native of the St. Louis area and is a retired school teacher. Both are graduates of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. They have three daughters, Angela, Stephanie, and Deborah. Dr. Sheppard has been the senior pastor of churches in Kansas, Texas, Pennsylvania and Ohio. He attended seminary in Fort Worth, Texas (M.Div.) and Louisville, Kentucky (D. Min.).
