Not everyone out there meets that "special someone" during their college years. As a matter of fact, with the average age of marriage pushing 25 for girls and 28 for guys, connecting to young singles is becoming more and more vital to the church. If you're a single adult, either never married or divorced, interested in meeting other singles, we've created an opportunity just for you. We call it The Refuge.
In The Refuge you'll develop healthy friendships while growing in your faith. The Refuge is an exciting segment of First Baptist Church that offers classes, fellowships and special events targeted for single adults (ages low 20's to mid 40's).
Services and activities include:
Weekly Bible Study
Our small-group class with dynamic teaching, intriguing discussion, support and coffee meets every Sunday at 11:00am, after the morning worship service.
Monthly Fellowship
Regular activities are scheduled to just hang out, have fun, and get to know each other better. It's always fun to be around a group of friends in a relaxed and casual environment. These may be parties, bowling, sporting events, outdoor activities, or whatever we come up with. Friends and guests are always welcome.
Activities with Other Groups
We understand that different people have different needs, and that we probably cannot meet everyone's wishes. To that extent we actively encourage our members to get involved with other area Christian groups. We currently have members involved with Bible Study Fellowship.
